CNEC season schedule
The 2027 season opens with registration in mid-2026, an online Regional round in December 2026, the China National Round in March 2027, and the NEC Global Finals beyond. Dates below follow the official 2027 CNEC notice; any adjustments are announced by the CNEC Organizing Committee.
From the online Regional round to the global stage
The season runs in three stages: an online Regional round in December, the China National Round in March, and the NEC Global Finals for the teams that advance.
Registration opens months ahead — strong teams form early, choose their division, and prepare against the official materials well before the December test.

Eligibility: students in grades 7–12 (under 20). Teams must be formed before the registration deadline, with all members in the same division. Any adjustments are announced by the CNEC Organizing Committee.

When is the 2027 Regional round?
The online Regional round (a written test) is held on 12–13 December 2026, with an optional mock test on 5–6 December. The Pre division sits 8:30–10:30 and the David Ricardo and Adam Smith divisions sit 14:00–16:00.

Registration runs from 10 June to 1 December 2026. Team composition and division are final after the registration deadline.
When and where are the national and global rounds?
The China National Round takes place in March 2027, and teams that advance compete at the NEC Global Finals, hosted in New York, Hong Kong and the UK.
