It is highly favored by international students in major cities, and an award-winning record can significantly enhance the competitiveness of college application essays.

Core Strategies for Winning Awards in NEC
The Preliminary Round mainly consists of objective multiple-choice questions, focusing on basic knowledge points. Daily practice should cover microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and annual economic hot topics.
The National Finals consist of four main sections: Economic Assessment, Case Study Analysis, Innovative Economic Challenge, and Live Quiz Bowl. Case study writing is the core differentiator for scores, requiring training in academic English argumentation.
Students aiming for the Global Finals with a solid foundation should prioritize the AS Division, as its awards have higher recognition. The competition experience can also be used to fill out activity lists and serve as material for college application essays.
